Power pole split in half, driver missing

TUCSON - Northbound and southbound traffic on 1st Ave., between Prince and Pastime is blocked because of a power pole that has been split in half.

News 4 has confirmed at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers got a call about a vehicle that had run into the power pole.

The power pole is still intact, but police say the driver of the vehicle that hit the pole fled on foot.

Again, 1st Ave. is closed between Prince and Pastime. It is expected to be closed for another two hours as of 6 a.m.
