Police searching for car involved in hit and run

TUCSON- The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public's help locating a vehicle involved in a serious hit and run that occurred Saturday night.

TPD Sergeant Chris Widmer says officers responded to Broadway Boulevard and Beverly Avenue around 11 p.m., for reports of a pedestrian struck.

Officers found a male suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital.

According to Widmer, witnesses say the man was going through a bag while kneeling in the median lane of westbound Broadway, when a older model tan or maroon colored sedan hit the man.

The vehicle kept traveling westbound on Broadway after the collision.

Detectives believe the vehicle may be a metallic rust or burnt orange color with damage to the front end.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
