Police say woman is ok after man tried to run her down

Tucson police tell News 4, they received reports around 8:15 a.m. that a woman walking in the 4400 block of East 18th Street had been struck by a truck, allegedly driven by her husband.

Police say the man attempted to strike her multiple times before driving off.

According to officers, the man, who has not been identified, was found about an hour later in the 2000 block of South Winstel Boulevard.

A Tucson Police spokeswoman, told News 4, the the suspect had attempted to commit suicide and has been taken to a local hospital.

According to police, the woman suffered minor injuries but was treated and released.
