TUCSON - A man was shot and killed in a midtown driveway early Thursday morning following a verbal altercation, Tucson Police state.
At about 2:33 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, TPD received a 911 call reported that a man had been shot in the 5100 block of East 2nd Street, according to a news release from Tucson Police. Officers responded and found a man, later identified as 21-year-old Marquee Dixon, Jr., suffering from gunshot trauma.
Tucson Fire paramedics responded to render aid, but Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene, the TPD release states.
Homicide and night detectives spoke to potential witnesses and determined that a verbal altercation occurred, and then multiple shots were fired, the release states.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
