TUCSON - Alcohol may have been a factor in a motorcycle crash early this morning on Tucson's east side that left an 18-year-old man dead.
At about 3:46 a.m. Thursday, Tucson Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision in the 8100 block of East Tanque Verde Road, according to a news release from Tucson Police.
Officers found a man, later identified as 18-year-old Tucson resident Jesse Stuart Carlson, with severe injuries in the roadway; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
TPD's Traffic Investigations Unit determined the motorcycle was traveling west on Tanque Verde Road when the Carlson struck the median curb and lost control. Alcohol was a possible factor in the collision, TPD stated.
