CASA GRANDE, AZ - Authorities say a small plane has crashed at the Casa Grande airport in southern Arizona.
The twin-engine Beechcraft Air aircraft crashed at about 11 a.m. Wednesday while landing at Casa Grande Municipal Airport, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said.
"The aircraft exploded and burned after crashing," Gregor said. "Both people onboard were killed."
Although Gregor said the plane was registered to a Tucson company, he stopped short of releasing the tail number.
"I cannot confirm a tail number until I know the victims next of kin have been notified," Gregor said.
The FAA and National Transportaion Safety Board are both investigating the crash.
