Pima County sheriff's working to rescue man lost near Finger Rock

TUCSON - Pima County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team is en route to Finger Rock Trail, where a man is apparently lost.

According to an update from Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Tom Peine, a 19-year-old man is lost off of Finger Rock Trail. The man is approximately six miles from the trailhead, officials estimate, and does not have any medical issues.

Air support has been requested, and deputies are en route to bring the man out safely. A Department of Public Safety air rescue unit is en route, as are rescuers from the Southern Arizona Rescue Association.
