TUCSON - The Pima Council on Aging is collaborating with Community Home Repair Projects of Arizona, to help eligible residents repair their coolers. With the heat soaring into the triple digits, elderly and disabled residents are priority.
In order to receive help from the Pima Council on Aging, you must fit the following requirements.
1-Be age 60 or older
2-Reside in Pima County
3-Own the property that needs repair
4-Have lived in the home at least one year
5-Have a household income that is 150% of the poverty value or less
6-Have a property valuation of $120,000 or less
7-Be in need of minor repairs of a health or safety nature
8-Have no other resources available, such as significant savings or investments, or a relative, friend of neighbor who can provide the client with the needed repair.
