Pima Co. Sheriff's Dept. hosting Q and A session on Facebook next month

TUCSON - Do you have a question you want to ask the Pima County Sheriff's Department?

Beginning next month, you'll have your chance: The Pima County Sheriff's Department will begin trial testing a social media quation-and-answer session on March 6 using Facebook.

The department is encouraging Facebook and Twitter users to log on to their Facebook page and help them select the first topic of discussion. Some of the suggested topics are:

1) Careers in Law Enforcement
2) Traffic Related Issues
3) Mental Health
4) Volunteer Opportunities in the Sheriff's Department
5) Self-Defense for Women (RAD)
6) Other Topics for Discussion
The department will assign staff with specialties in the selected topics each month, based on interest from the community, officials state in a news release.

The Sheriff's department says that they cannot offer legal advice on specific cases, but can answer generic questions.

The first session will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on March 6, with sessions on the first Tuesday of each month thereafter.

To vote for a topic for the first session, or to submit your own suggestion, visit the PCSD Facebook page at:
