TUCSON - Pima County is looking for qualified applicants to begin the development of affordable housing projects.
The county is seeking applications from for-profit and nonprofit developers, contractors, builders and governmental agencies.
The funds, available through the Pima County General Obligation Affordable Housing Bond Program, will be used to develop affordable homes for rent or for purchase by eligible low- and moderate-income families.
The program will focus on alleviating the lack of affordable housing in the county and helping qualified households who otherwise lack the financial ability to own or rent a home.
Applications are available at the Pima County Housing center, 801 W. Congress St, or online. The deadline for applications is on Friday, June 28, to be turned in no later than 4:30 p.m.
A meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Pima County Housing Center to provide additional information and answer questions.
