DENVER - Passengers on a delayed flight got a tasty surprise as they waited for their plane to take off.
On Monday, passengers on a Frontier Airlines flight were served pizza from the plane's pilot.
Frontier flight 719 was headed to Denver at 6:40 p.m. Eastern Time, when severe thunderstorms forced the plane to divert to southern Wyoming.
Gerhard Bradner, the pilot, bought more than 50 pizzas on his own tab to feed them as they waited for departure. Frontier Airlines confirmed the kind gesture.
With full stomachs, the passengers and crew left at about 10:30 p.m. and arrived in Denver a short while later.
