Photos of alleged Sahuaro principal assault released

TUCSON - The principal of Sahuaro High School has been arrested on misdemeanor assault charges, according to Tucson Police.

Christopher Bonn was cited and released Tuesday, Tucson Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke said.

The alleged incident occurred early Monday morning, Hawke said.

The victim was Bonn's step-daughter's boyfriend, police said. The victim claims Bonn punched him mulitple time while in his car with Bonn's stepdaughter.

Bonn says he punched the teen once when he thought the boy was reaching for a weapon. Bonn says the teen is a drug dealer and has threatened him before.

Sahuaro High School, 545 N. Camino Seco, is one of Tucson Unified School District's 14 high school campuses.
