LUKEVILLE, Ariz. - An 18-year-old Glendale, Ariz., man was arrested Saturday for attempting to smuggle more than 137 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Lukeville.
Customs and Border Protection officers selected the teen for a secondary inspection of his Saturn sedan. After a CBP narcotic detection canine alerted to luggage in the trunk, officers found five bundles of marijuana valued at $68,530.
The subject was referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations. The drugs and vehicle were seized.
