PHOENIX (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead at a Phoenix apartment complex.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson says officers were called out to an apartment complex on West 28th Street around 10:45 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Jerome Armstead in a breezeway. He had been shot multiple times.
Armstead was taken to a Phoenix hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Thompson said Saturday morning that no suspects have been identified.
A man was seen running from the area shortly after the shots were fired. He got into a Chrysler 300 that drove westbound on Broadway, but investigators say it's not clear whether the man or the vehicle were involved in the shooting.
