PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have arrested a man they believe is the so-called "Fused Bandit" who robbed at least 16 shops and restaurants over a month.
Authorities identified the man arrested as Gregory Elzy.
The armed robber received the nickname because he first started auto parts stores, asking a clerk for a box of automobile fuses before pulling a gun.
Police say he used the technique at least 16 times to rob auto parts stores, fast food restaurants and dry cleaners.
Phoenix Police Department spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump says investigators did interviews, showed photo lineups and served search warrants over the last week before the arrest.
