Phoenix police: 5 arrested in shoplifting case

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say five people who belong to the same family have been arrested and accused of shoplifting from numerous stores.

According to Officer James Holmes, those arrested include a woman, two adult daughters, an adult son and the husband of one of the daughters.

Holmes says some of the stolen lingerie and other stolen items were traded for drugs while others were sold at yard sales.

Holmes says the investigation has extended to shoplifting thefts from stores in Flagstaff and Prescott where authorities also are investigating.
