PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police announced Friday a second arrest in a 2005 cold case homicide.
On May 3, 2005, the body of 24-year-old Vester Freeman was found in a warehouse area in southwest Phoenix.
Evidence was collected at the scene, but a suspect wasn't identified.
In September 2009, police said a DNA match implicated 24-year-old Tremaine Lee.
In March, a grand jury charged Lee with first-degree murder. Lee is currently incarcerated in New Mexico on unrelated charges.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said detectives continued investigating and developed new information that led to a second man.
Police arrested 39-year-old Tiger Flowers Jr. Thursday afternoon for Freeman's death. Martos said Flowers' DNA was found at the scene of the crime.
