TUCSON - Great weather continues through the long holiday weekend but breaks down by next week.
High pressure over the southwest will bring a few more days of pleasant weather, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Sunday will be a repeat performance of today with highs in the low to mid 70s and breezy conditions. In fact, little change is expected through Tuesday with mild temperatures under generally sunny skies.
Our next winter storm is scheduled to move into Southern Arizona on Wednesday bringing some major changes into the forecast. Temperatures will drop 20-30 degrees from Tuesday to Wednesday with highs most likely in the 40s. Widespread rain and snow showers are also expected across the region with some flurries possible in the lower elevations Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Daytime highs expected to stay in the 50s for the remainder of the week and right on into next weekend. We'll watch for some leftover moisture to possibly bring a few more showers into next Saturday and Sunday.
