TUCSON - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Downtown Tucson this evening - he was transported to a nearby hospital.
According to Tucson Fire spokesperson Captain Barrett Baker, the incident occurred near Congress St. and Granada Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Monday evening. The pedestrian, an elderly man, was struck and transported by Tucson Fire with injuries.
Congress Street is currently closed for eastbound traffic while police investigate the scene.
At this time, the extent of the man's injuries are not known, Capt. Baker said.
