TUCSON - A 58-year-old man has died after being hit by a car Monday night in Midtown.
Tucson Police say the man, not yet identified, was walking southbound across West Fort Lowell Road near the intersection with North Castro around 6:46 p.m. last night. A blue 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling westbound on West Fort Lowell in the
median traffic lane. The car struck the pedestrian as he was walking across the street.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
There were no streetlights at the intersection and the man was wearing dark clothing. The driver of the vehicle cooperated fully with the investigation. No citations have been issued at this time.
