TUCSON - Welcome to the hottest day of the work week.
High pressure slides over the state this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Metro Tucson sees daytime highs reach the 104-106° range, roughly 5-7° above average for early June. Sunny skies prevail over the 17th triple digit day of 2014.
The remainder of the week will stay in triple digit territory, but won't be as hot as this afternoon. Gusty winds return to the forecast tomorrow and this weekend, as a pair of storm systems pass north of the state. Expect gusts to 25 MPH.
