TUCSON - Today on News 4 Tucson at Noon, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona brought by Patch, a one-eyed Jack Russell Terrier mix.
Patch was a stray pooch who was transferred to the Humane Society from the Pima Animal Care Center. Representatives from the HSSA told News 4 Tucson that Patch had a "cherry eye" in his right eye, and it had to be removed because he was in a lot of pain.
HSSA says that Patch is adjusting well to having one eye, and he has had a lot of love during his stay there. He likes to sniff around and see what's happening. He is active and is great walking on a leash, they say. Patch is easily motivated by treats and loves milk bones. He gets along great with other dogs.
Throughout the month of August, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona is offering free mixed breed adult cats and dogs!
