TUCSON - AAA tells us Isaac has done a number on gas prices.
With refineries shut down, prices at the pump this labor day weekend will bring sticker shock.
"I used to think two dollars a gallon was bad, but seems like that would be nice right about now," said AJ Lee.
As gas prices increase and wallet size doesn't, more and more people are feeling the pain as they pump.
Prices at the pump are up 12 cents from a week ago and 27 cents from last year.
"It's going to be probably our most expensive driving Labor Day weekend. All indications are that nationally it'll be probably the most expensive," said Scott Bronson, general manager of Coxco Fuel.
Tucson is currently one of the least expensive places to gas up, but some drivers said it's still too expensive so they are staying put this Labor Day weekend.
"Once the refineries are back up and running because most of them are closed in the gulf area right now, things will improve," said Valerie Vinyard with AAA.
