Overnight shooting leaves two dead, one injured

Tucson Police are investigating a shooting that left two men dead and another injured on the city's east side.

Sgt. Chris Widmer says the shooing happened just after 11:45 p.m. Friday on East Senate Street, near Golf Links and Pantano roads.

Widmer says officers responded to a report of a shooting, and found two men who had been shot lying in the street. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Widmer says a third man was dropped off at a hospital before police arrived at the shooting scene. His injuries are serious, and possibly life-threatening.

Detectives say the shooting happened during a party attended by 40 to 50 people. A fight broke out in the street, and shots were fired.

Widmer says detectives have been able to interview approximately 20 people who were at the party, but others left before officers arrived.

Police are now asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1 or 88-Crime.
