TUCSON- A suicide prevention walk is taking place this morning at Reid Park.

The walk, hosted by The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, begins at 10 a.m. at Ramada 15.

According to the AFSP, a person dies by suicide every 15 minutes, claiming more than 36,000 lives each year in the United States.

Proceeds will benefit the AFSP and go towards increasing awareness about prevention, warning signs and the psychiatric illnesses.
