ORO VALLEY, Ariz- The Oro Valley Police Department's High Visibility Enforcement (HiVE) operation took effect on October 2, from the intersections of Oracle and Magee, and Oracle and Suffolk.
On November 9, there were 37 traffic stops. Within those stops, 25 drivers received a written warning and 6 out of the 25 drivers stopped for moving violations were cited, according to a news release from Oro Valley Police. Also, 12 drivers were pulled over for equipment and/or registration violations and 5 drivers got a combination citation and warning for non-moving violations. During this process there was one collision.
HiVE will continue to be in affect by OVPD until the end of the year.
