ORO VALLEY, AZ - An Oro Valley police officer is accused of stealing from the Wal-Mart at the Oro Valley Marketplace.
On Tuesday, January 29, Oro Valley police were investigating a theft from that Wal-Mart and that led to the discovery of another theft from the store and that one implicated Officer Molina.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department took over the investigation of the Molina case, and Wednesday investigators met with Officer Molina and found the stolen property.
Officer Molina was cited and released for a misdemeanor theft charge.
Officer Mario Molina has been on the Oro Valley force for 7 years, but as of now he has been released from active duty.
OVPD has begun an internal investigation into the matter.
