Oro Valley drive-by suspect arrested and charged

ORO VALLEY - An arrest was made in a drive-by shooting that left one person injured nearly two years ago.

It started as a road rage incident on October 19, 2011. Oro Valley Police responded to the area of Northern and Magee and found the victim with minor injuries.

The person told police they left a grocery store with two young children when a black Volkswagen cut-off their vehicle.

The driver of the Volkswagen pulled over and showed a weapon. The suspect shot and struck the victim's vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries from shattered glass.

On April 18, 2013, OVPD received additional information on this case that lead to the arrest of 38-year-old Blass Delmissier Gonzales.

On June 17, 2013, he was indicted on one felony count of drive-by shooting.
