TUCSON - The tax deadline is rapidly approaching and if you are one of those people who wait until the very last minute to mail your tax return, you need to know where you need to be by midnight April 15th.
If you plan on waiting until the deadline the main post office, at 1501 S. Cherrybell Stravenue, is the only place in Tucson where you can mail your return up until midnight.
United States Postal Service spokesman, Rob Soler, says this year's tax day arrives on one of the busiest days of the week, "Monday's are typically busier at post offices and this Monday of course is going to be tax night too", Soler said, "so if you can avoid the lines, mail early, or at least come in and get your postage early, that is what we are encouraging people to do. it will be a lot more convenient for you."
The main post office on Cherrybell here will only be open to customers until 8 pm that day, so if you are planning to come to the post office after 8 pm postal customers are urged to have the correct postage on your tax return envelope.
