TUCSON- An 18-year-old female is dead after a rollover accident in Gates Pass early this morning.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, two vehicles were drag racing on Gates Pass around 1:30 Sunday morning, when both vehicles left the roadway. PCSO says one vehicle was travelling at over 80 mph, in a 35 mph zone before the accident.

18-year-old Marymar Martinez-Duran passed away from her injuries at University of Arizona Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle Martinez-Duran was riding in, William Pina, was charged with manslaughter, aggravated assault, endangerment and DUI.

Deputies say the group had been drinking in Gates Pass prior to the accident.

Two other 18-year-old female occupants in Pina's vehicle were transported to UAMC and are in stable condition.
