TUCSON- The owners of Old Pueblo Gymnastics Academy taking on a special mission.
They have launched an adaptive movement classes for children with special needs.
The classes are designed by Libby Bishop, a certified and licensed occupational therapist, focus on sensorimotor and gross motor skill training in a fun, gymnastics setting.
Old Pueblo Gymnastics plans to expand the number of classes this fall and into 2014. Parents are encouraged to call now - 520.628.4355.
Children ages 3-18 with a diagnosed social, emotional or physical disability may apply. As part of the application process, children are required to meet with Libby to determine if the class's activities are suited to their needs.
