PHOENIX (AP) - A man accused of punching a Phoenix police officer in the head is in custody.
Police say 29-year-old Bobby G. Keen was yelling outside near 7th Street and Union Hills Road on Saturday around 10:40 p.m.
Officer James Holmes says Keen pretended he needed help but then punched the first officer to approach.
Holmes says tasers deployed by the victim and a second officer had no effect on Keen.
Authorities say Keen then ran inside and police set up a perimeter.
They say Keen came out and charged toward police, who used four stun bag rounds.
Police say Keen ran back inside and officers entered the house to arrest him.
The injured officer has been treated and released for a broken right hand and swelling around his left eye.
