NW firefighters battling two-story house fire

TUCSON - Northwest Fire Dept. is now investigating a two-story house fire on Via Carina near River and Oracle.

Firefighters arrived shortly after midnight to find a townhouse up in flames, it took 25 firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control with parts of the home still smoldering.

No one was inside the burning house and no one was hurt, NW Fire tells us the resident was in the process of moving. That person is receiving some assistance from Red Cross.

Damage is estimated at $140, 000.
