TUCSON - A Northwest side home was destroyed by a fire on Saturday afternoon.
Northwest Fire crews were called to the home after a neighbor heard the sounds of smoke alarms going off.
No one was inside the home when fire crews arrived on the scene, and the fire was put out within eight minutes of their arrival.
The homeowner arrived to find fire companies still working to put out the fire. The 53 year-old man will be displaced from his home due to smoke and fire damage.
Damages have been estimated to be approximately $35,000.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, as an investigation from Northwest Fire is still underway.
