TUCSON - Two young hikers are safe tonight after falling into a crevice in Marana.

Northwest Fire officials say three young men were hiking in the area of Sombrero Peak.

Two of the teens got stuck in a crevice and were unable to get out.

The third teen was able climb down the peak and call for help. Officials airlifted the two off the mountain.

The teens did not have a cell phone or the proper attire for hiking, so authorities say always be prepared.

One of the teens did have a leg injury, but will be ok.
