TUCSON- Tucson Fire responded to a fire just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning at a Circle K on North Flowing Wells Road.
According to Captain Jeff Langejans with TFD, the store manager called 9-1-1 after noticing smoke coming from a pallet of shipped goods.
When the first engine arrived at the Circle K near North Flowing Wells Road and West Roger Road, they noticed heavy black smoke coming out of the front of the building.
They entered the building and confirmed that there was nobody left inside.
The Tucson Police Bomb Squad was called out to the building, after it was discovered that a bomb threat had been called into the store earlier in the morning. Nothing was found during a subsequent search.
TFD said it took 11 units and 25 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
Damage is estimated at $150,000.
The health department is evaluating the contamination to the food products.
