TUCSON - One cold weather system down with the next scheduled for midweek.
In the wake of our wet weather system comes chilly temperatures tonight with a forecast low of 34 for Tucson. Enough leftover moisture will support some fog in low lying areas by the early morning hours.
Southern Arizona will warm up to start the work week as high pressure builds back into the region for a short time. Monday will see highs in the low 60s and it's back up above average by Tuesday with a high near 70.
Big changes coming Tuesday night and into Wednesday as our next cold front pushes into Arizona. Valley locations could pick up another 0.10-0.30" of rain through early Wednesday and elevations above 6000 feet could see another 3-8" of snow.
The other concern with this system is the chilly temperatures filtering in behind the cold front. Tucson will only see daytime highs in the low 50s Wednesday afternoon and by early Thursday morning many sites will be below freezing including the Tucson-metro. Don't forget to protect the pets, plants and pipes before you go to bed Wednesday night.
