TUCSON - Talk about decadent! Today on "News 4 Cooks!" at Noon, Kelley Butler from "Betty Bundt" stopped by to make a chocolate bundt cake drizzled with dark chocolate ganache and finished with dark chocolate shavings! Here's her recipe:
Chocolate bundt drizzled with dark chocolate ganache and finished with dark chocolate shavings
1 ¾ cup sugar
2 C flour
¾ cocoa powder
1 ¼ tsp baking soda
1 ¼ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
1 C whole milk
½ C oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 C boiling water
-Preheat oven 350 degrees
-Spray pans well with baking spray with flour
-SIFT sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder & salt in bowl. Set aside.
-Combine eggs, milk, oil & vanilla, beat on MEDIUM speed for one minute.
-On LOW speed, add dry ingredients ½ cup at a time.
When thoroughly combined, slowly mix in boiling water.
-Transfer to BUNDT pan
-Bake 45 minutes
-Invert cake onto wire rack and cool completely before frosting
½ Cup Heavy Cream
½ Cup chocolate chips
-Wisk heavy cream in saucepan over med-high heat to just near a boil. Remove from heat and add chocolate and wisk. Spoon over cooled cake. Finish with chocolate shavings
