TUCSON - Today on News 4 Cooks, Jack Ahern from Ric's Cafe stopped by to show us how to make a popular desert: Creme Brulee. Here's the recipe:
Creme Brulee
6 cups heavy cream
15 egg yolks
3/4 cup Sugar
4 oz Grand Marnier
2 ts Vanilla Extract
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Pour mixture into dishes w/ a water bath. Cook until set or slightly firm, approx 2 to 21/2 hrs. Remove from oven, being careful not spill water onto creme brulles. When cool sprinkle w/ sugar and carmelize w/ a butane burner and torch. Serve w/ fresh berries and enjoy.
