New care center for seniors opens today; Lute Olson will cut ribbon

TUCSON - A kick-off event today for a new care center that will provide local jobs and improve senior health.

CareMore Health Plan is expanding its care management model in Pima County by adding its fourth Care Center in Tucson. The newest facility is the largest to date, at 18,229-square-feet, and is located at 4821 North Stone Avenue. Local seniors are invited to the grand opening celebration on Thursday, January 31st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Former University of Arizona men's basketball coach Lute Olson will lead local officials at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event will offer a free community resource fair in partnership with local organizations and tours of the state-of-the-art Care Center. The Care Centers play a key role in keeping members healthy, informed and active by addressing their unique treatment needs in one convenient setting.
