PHOENIX (AP) - A new attendance record has been set for spring training baseball games in metro Phoenix.
Cactus League officials say the 255 games played during the spring season that ended last weekend had drawn more than 1.7 million fans.
That's about 20,000 people more than the previous season's total.
A March 23 game between the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers drew more than 13,000 fans and set the Cactus League's single-game attendance record.
