Neighbors speak out about Tens Showclub shooting

TUCSON-Four people are recovering in the hospital after they were shot outside a strip club.

It happened overnight at the Tens Showclub on Speedway and Rosemont.

Neighbors told News 4 Tucson the shots woke them up at 12:45 a.m., but those inside the nightclub in the early morning said they didn't hear a thing.

They said the shooters must have been waiting in the parking lot for the victims.

Susan Agrillo just moved into this neighborhood.

"I knew it was a little of a mixed neighborhood. We have Bambi's on one corner and Tens up the street," she said.

She's just now settling in.

"I wanted a house, and this is what I could afford," said Agrillo.

But she wasn't prepared for a multiple shooting in the early morning.

"Especially when it's so close to where you live," said Agrillo.

Police said four men were shot in the Tens Showclub parking lot.

"Anytime you mix alcohol and guns it's a bad combination," said Agrillo.

One man was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

"I think it's terrible. I think it's an awful thing that people are getting shot and so close to home," said Michael Lafreniere.

Michael Lafreniere is no stranger to Tens Showclub.

"People drink a lot in there and they get really obnoxious," said Lafreniere. "I've seen people get beat up before."

Guillermo Madrigal also lives near the nightclub.

"I'm definitely worried I have four kids," said Madrigal.

He said shots fired anywhere near his home is a problem.

"Because you never know where they're pointing when their shooting," he said.

Police said there are nearly a dozen witnesses.

Police have been interviewing them and examining evidence from the scene.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
