Nearly 100 children adopted Saturday morning
TUCSON-Nearly 100 children in Pima County were adopted Saturday. Their adoptions were formalized in a ceremony at Udall Park Saturday morning. The event coincides with National Adoption Month. The Brumfields were celebrating their adoption. Eileen and Mark said from the moment they met Ben, they knew he was the perfect fit for their family. "It's just completing the circle and now we're a complete family," said Eileen Brumfield. According to the Arizona's Children Association, there are nearly 15 thousand children in the state's foster care system. The Brumfields said they wanted to help. "We thought we can't let this happen. We can't have all these kids not have homes any longer," said Brumfield. Ben said he's excited to call Eileen and Mark his mom and dad. "They're nice. They're awesome. They're good. They go and buy me stuff that I need. They spoil me," said Ben.
