TUCSON - High pressure builds temperatures up to near record levels this week.
Tucson was able to reach 77 today to wrap up the weekend and we aren't done heating up quite yet, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. High pressure sticks around through the middle of the work week bringing forecast highs of 78 and 79 on Tuesday and Wednesday. The record for both of these January days is 80 degrees set back in 1986.
A weak weather disturbance moves through the Rockies on Thursday knocking temps back down into the low to mid 70s. Keeping an eye on our next possible rain maker early next week. For more information on that visit John Patrick's Weather Blog.
