TUCSON - Border Patrol agents arrested two United States citizens this week for attempting to smuggle narcotics inside their undergarments.
On Wednesday, Nogales Station Border Patrol agents working the I-19 checkpoint south of Amado referred a commercial shuttle for inspection.
During the encounter, agents discovered one pound of methamphetamine concealed in an underwear worn by an 18-year-old man.
On Thursday, Customs and Border Protection officers from the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry arrested a 23-year-old woman for attempting to smuggle four pounds of heroin concealed in her bra.
The narcotics had a total estimated value of $70,000.
