THREE POINTS - A man found shot to death in Three Points has been identified as 75-year-old William Sattler.
Pima County Sheriff's Detectives say he was shot once in the abdomen. His body was found yesterday at the bottom of a 25-foot well.
Sheriff's officials said the murder appears to be over property and money. 51-year-old Donald Stewart now sits in the Pima County jail, he's charged with first degree murder. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
PCSO officials tell News 4 Tucson that the victim had told friends if he ever came up missing to check the hole on Stewart's property. Detectives did, and that's where they found Sattler.
According to officials, the two had a confrontation on June 22. It's reported that Stewart had assaulted the victim over some property he took from Sattler's house.
A friend of the victim reported Sattler missing on Tuesday, saying he last saw him the day before and was concerned.
Last night, sheriff's deputies served several search warrants. Not only did they locate the victim, they also located Stewart, questioned him, and arrested him.
Donald Stewart makes his next court appearance on July 14.
