Willcox, Ariz. - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office, along with the U.S. Border Patrol are investigating a murder-suicide.
It happened Saturday morning at a home 15 miles south of Willcox.
A 38-year-old woman called 911, and reported the shooting.
She was not hurt.
The woman told investigators she and her 62-year-old husband were at their home when her 36 year old step-son came to the home to "pick up some personal belongings".
Once the son was inside, he went to the study room where his father was at and fired a handgun at him, striking him several times.
The woman said she ran from the home at that time to a neighbor's house to get help.
She didn't know if her step-son was still in the home.
The SWAT Team responded and entered the house before 3pm.
They found the father dead.
The son was also found dead, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
