TUCSON- A Marana woman accused of killing her husband will not face criminal charges.
Toni Marie Mayfield was charged with Second Degree Murder after admitting to police that she killed her husband May 17, 2013 at their home in Marana, according to the Marana Police Department.
Court documents show that there was a violent fight between Mayfield and her husband that night. Police found Mayfield's husband with a hand gun and also found a hammer covered in blood in the hallway of the home.
Mayfield also had injuries, including 3 lacerations over her left eye, according to police reports.
The Pima County Attorney's Office has decided to not pursue charges against Mayfield in the case.
