Mountain View teacher receives Excellence Award

TUCSON - Tucson Values Teachers and OfficeMax have partnered to honor individual teachers who bring that extra something special into the classroom.

The 2013 Teacher Excellence Award was rewarded to Charles Kamb, Special Education/Math Teacher, at Mountain View High School in the Marana Unified School District. Mr. Kamp has worked for the Marana Unified School District since 2008. Mr. Kamp received a $100 gift card from OfficeMax, a bag of school supplies, and a festive surprise presentation arranged by Tucson Values Teachers and OfficeMax.

Tucson Values Teachers is dedicated to demonstrating to all K-12 teachers that the work they do is highly valued, and that it contributes enormously to the strength and well-being of our region.

Every month, a K-12 teacher in southern Arizona is selected by Tucson Values Teachers board of directors to win the TVT Teacher Excellence Award sponsored by OfficeMax. Community members can nominate as many teachers as they would like and the monthly winner will be announced on the third Tuesday of each month.

Visit the Tucson Values Teachers website at http://www.tucsonvaluesteachers.org/ to complete the online nomination form.
