Mountain lion awareness at Sabino Canyon

TUCSON- Arizona Game and Fish is holding a mountain lion information day for Sabino Canyon visitors Saturday.
So far this year, Game and Fish has fielded nearly 50 mountain lion sighting calls in the Santa Catalina and Rincon Mountain ranges. Most calls are from the Sabino Canyon area, including the most recent on November 9 when a visitor snapped a picture of three mountain lions.
Sabino Canyon sees up to 2,500 visitors daily during their peak season, from Thanksgiving to Easter.
Saturday's event goes until 3 p.m.
